We spent months working with specialist bookmakers to develop a journal that felt worthy of its contents. The 2.5mm high-density greyboard. The 120 gsm archive paper. The hand-finished slipcase. Every specification was chosen with a single question in mind: will this still be treasured in 100 years?

We wanted to make something generous, enduring and beautifully produced. A journal that felt like a meaningful gift, and a product that reflected a slower, more considered way of making.

Every family has stories that exist only in one place — in the memory of one person. The recipes, the places, the moments of courage or heartbreak or joy. When that person is gone, those stories are gone forever. We kept asking ourselves: why isn't there a beautiful, thoughtful way to capture them?

We believed that the right tool had to be two things at once: a gift so beautiful that a loved one would feel honoured to receive it, and a journal so thoughtfully structured that they would actually want to fill it.
